Indian group Venky’s won the battle to acquire Blackburn Rovers in £40-45 million pounds


A great move which will see the first Indian owners of a Premier League club.

Anuradha J. Desai, the chief of the Indian conglomerate Venkys, Specialist in poultry farming confirms the takeover of Blackburn Rovers.

Anuradha says "Blackburn Rovers is an English Premier League (EPL) football club team which we are going to acquire. and the bidding is almost finalised and the same was confirmed by Anuradha in her beautiful house based in Pune. Bidding is going to be finalised in the range of 40 - 45 million pounds in next seven to ten days time. Indian group Venky’s are hopeful of completing a takeover of the club by November. Blackburn Rovers look set to become the latest Premier League club to be snapped up by foreign investors.

Blackburn Rowers have had a miserable start to their domestic campaignre still in the relegation zone having registered only two wins in their nine games to date.
